A pivotal site in the centre of Watergrasshill has been re-used to continue the streetscape of the village and connect the corner site with the village grain. The brief was to provide a facility for rent to local medical practitioners with on-site parking. The building form is dictated by the corner site where the building is pushed to the edge of the western and southern extremities of the site while turning the corner. The corner itself is accentuated by placing a three storey drum structure at the hinge point of the two storey wings. The interior space in the angle of the wings forms the secure car park.
Accommodation within the building comprises a series of consulting and minor treatment rooms together with staff welfare, w.c., storage and medical record storage all accessed off a central reception and waiting area. A lift is included in the building to allow free access to all potential users with external finish being cut ashlar stone with zinc cladding.
