The re-development of a sensitive site in the village of Glanworth in North Cork called for the renewal of a run-down section of the village to complete the existing streetscape with the site bounded on three sides with main access roads to the village. The chosen solution seeks to replicate the linear pattern of housing terraces on approach roads to settlements, traditional in Irish villages, with a focal point at the corner to ’bookend‘ the vista at the bottom of the main street in the village.
